Strength: tarot card meaning

Strength is traditionally read as power exercised gently: influence through patience rather than force. In symbolic reading it can point to courage, emotional regulation and staying with something difficult. Reversed, it is often associated with self-doubt, suppressed anger or force used where softness would work better.

The traditional image is not a fight. A figure calms an animal by presence, not by defeating it, which is exactly the distinction the card carries: what is wild in a person is managed, not amputated.
